Hope and Light

As a Californian, I realize every day how even in these unprecedented times, there is so much natural beauty reminding me that there is hope and light. There are people, too, looking for and finding hope in their daily environment as in this street scene below:

Nadine Levin lives in the San Francisco area. She began making analogue images in her post professional career using a “found” Minolta camera and now shoots digital exclusively. Levin looks for and visualizes the forgotten or uncharismatic places and objects in life and uses natural light to elevate them from the ordinary. Her work includes still life, street, travel, and abstract compositions and can be found in several private collections. An active member of the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel and the Palo Alto Camera Club, her work has been shown in juried and non-juried group shows in Northern California. She has received commendations/awards from various local, regional and national calls for entry.
