Thank God for Dogs!
By Lori Fogler-Nicholson | October 29, 2020
Never before has the companionship of a dog meant more than during this pandemic. As we shelter in place and wait for the next turn of events, there’s one thing we can count on in the face of uncertainty—the love of our dogs. As an expression of gratitude for all that dogs provide us, I wrote a song and collaborated on a multimedia piece honoring our canine family members. The video is a tribute to my beloved Mr. Beebs, who’s big paws left an indelible imprint on my life. This is for you, Mr. Beebs, and your kindred canine spirits!

For thirty years, Lori Fogler-Nicholson was a keyboard player, guitarist, singer, and published songwriter. In 2011, at the age of 52, she graduated valedictorian from Southern Connecticut State University. Her education and bachelor’s degree in political science was inspired by her boxer, the late Mr. Beebs. He was also the inspiration for founding Bark to Be Heard, a not-for-profit organization that gives pet owners a voice.
Beautiful! Your voice is lovely. Thank you for giving us voices.
Thank you for your kind words Ellen.
