New Rules for the (Farmer’s) Marketplace
By Steve Bennett | August 1, 2020
The farmer’s market in Davis Square, Somerville (@massfmkts) is a much beloved tradition in the area. Every Wednesday from spring through the fall, you can find great produce, some prepared foods, and other delights in a municipal parking lot filled with vendor stalls. The market is once again open, but things are quite different. You can’t freely float around and visit the stalls.
Now there’s a socially-distanced check-in line that begins with a sanitization station (sanitizer spray as in this image or a soap and water setup, not shown).
You can then visit various vendors, socially distanced from other shoppers.
When you’re done, you leave through a designated exit area.
Just another example of how we adapt to the realities of the corona world.
